Antique Unisex Monogram Signet Ring, English Circa 1926
A fine and impressive 9 karat yellow gold early 20th Century unisex monogram signet ring, dating from 1926-27. It looks to have been little worn, a solid ring with a thick shank. With scrolled shoulders the hand engraved monogram is 'A I S' or could be read as 'S R I' displayed on the oval head of the ring. Not surprisingly at the time, the style and decoration were still predominantly Victorian used on this signet ring, even though the jazz age was truly in thrall.
