A superb quality 18ct gold emerald and diamond tapering bar brooch from the Art Deco era circa 1920. Measuring 60mm long the brooch comprises alternate sections of calibre cut emeralds and brilliant cut diamonds. The emeralds are very well matched for colour and generally very clean and the diamonds are bright and lively with good colour and clarity. To either side of the box mount is a beautifully hand carved scroll decoration which is typical for quality bar brooch of the period. Overall a superb piece in lovely antique condition.
