A stunning early Victorian 18ct yellow gold round faceted peridot and rose cut diamond ring dating from circa 1850. The ring of well over 150 years old is a fabulous piece of jewellery history with a yellowish green central faceted peridot of good clarity. Around the peridot sits a halo cluster of rose cut diamonds set in silver, typical of the period to enhance their brilliance under candle light. The band is crafted in a naturalistic form with leaf motifs toward the head of the ring which adds to the overall elegance of the ring. A great piece for any collector of antique Victorian and antique rings.
