A splendid 15ct gold antique Edwardian curb link Albert chain with a sliding T-bar. Every link is stamped ‘15’ ‘625' as well as the two swivel clasps and the t-bar is also marked. The t-bar is affixed to a large jump ring which gives it the ability to freely slide along the chain - a nice added feature.
Weighing in at a pleasing 45.5g and measuring 16.5” or 420mm long the chain is a rare example with many similar chains having been scrapped for the gold - sacrilege! Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants. This piece also acts a great investment piece which can also be worn!
