This super antique 18ct yellow gold old mine cut diamond ring dating to the 1915 is masterfully crafted in the style of a snake or serpent wrapping around the finger. Entirely hand made from 18ct yellow gold it features five graduated old cut diamonds along the head of the snake. Snake rings were made popular during the reign of Queen Victoria (1876–1901) when Prince Albert presented an ornate snake ring to the queen as a gift to symbolise rebirth, transformation, immortality, healing and fertility. A fantastic example in remarkably good condition.
