A solid, 9ct rose gold antique Edwardian Albert chain with graduated round curb links and a T-bar. Every link is stamped ‘9C’, the two swivel clips and t-bar are also marked along with the makers mark. The Albert chain can be dated to circa 1910 when these chains were at the height of their popularity.
Weighing in at 22.4g and measuring 16” or 400mm long the chain is a fine example with very little wear to the links despite its age. Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants.
