An impressive Victorian 15ct gold carved garnet and diamond brooch incorporating a large, oval fashioned garnet set with star set old cut diamond cluster. The deep eye catching red of the garnet is complimented by the centrally set diamond cluster with an approx weight of 0.40ct - the principal diamond weighing 0.20ct H-I colour, SI clarity.
 
The garnet is encircled by a gold ‘ribbon’ edge with embossed interwoven links. To the reverse there’s an accessible compartment which retains its original lining and in excellent condition.
