A fantastic pair of foxtail fringe earrings from the Victorian (circa 1870) era! Crafted in 18ct burnished yellow gold, these super earrings are in amazing condition and have a delightful patina. Etruscan beadwork is displayed on the 'buckle' motif, these earrings are quite architectural in design swinging freely at the bottom from a V-shaped link is a foxtail fringe, the earrings dangle from a shaped surmount, attached to a simple wire at the top. Despite their substantial look and length, the hollow design is wonderfully lightweight making them comfortable to wear. These delightful earrings frame the face beautifully and dangle with lovely movement. A perfect example of Victorian era jewellery for today's wearer, not too fussy and quite marvellous.
