A solid, 9ct rose gold antique Victorian Albert chain with alternating trombone & round uniform links with a T-bar. Every link is stamped ‘9' '375', the anchor for Chester and a capital ‘H’ to denote the year (see image). The Albert chain can be dated to 1891.
Weighing in at 16.3g and measuring 17.75” or 450mm long the chain is a rare example with many similar chains having been scrapped for the gold. Traditionally worn as a watch chain suspending a pocket watch, Albert chains can also be worn as necklaces and used to suspend charms and pendants. This piece also acts a great investment piece which can also be worn!
